Where Energy Awakens Us | The Power of Sacred Spaces

The Journey to Bali

I’ve always loved to travel, but Southeast Asia was never at the top of my list. It wasn’t calling me the way other places had—until a close friend invited me to Bali for his 35th birthday. He had loved this place for years and wanted to celebrate a milestone in a place that felt like home to him, surrounded by the people he loved.

So I came. And I fell in love.

On that first trip, I experienced something profound—an energy I had never quite felt before. I had never felt so powerful, so embodied, so fully connected to my feminine energy. Everywhere I turned, there was movement, breath, and expression—yoga, dance, singing, meditation, mindfulness. People from all over the world gathered here, drawn by something they couldn’t quite name but could deeply feel.

After a month in Bali, I knew I had to return.

This time, I came back with intention. I’m in a season of creation—birthing something new, giving life to a project that requires me to be deeply aligned, energetically clear, and creatively open. And I knew that before I could pour energy into what I was building, I first had to nurture my own soil.

How Quickly Energy Shifts

It doesn’t take long for Bali to work its magic.

That first afternoon and evening? Pure survival mode. Jet lag is no joke. Traveling from the U.S. takes over 24 hours, and by the time I arrived, I was holding on for dear life. But the next morning, I stepped into my first yoga class—and something clicked.

By the afternoon, I felt it again. The pulsing. The hum of energy moving through me. The shift back into alignment.

The Energy of a Place

Not every place holds this kind of energy.

Some places drain you. You step inside, and something feels off—stagnant, heavy, misaligned. Other places elevate you the moment you arrive. You feel lighter, inspired, alive. You don’t even have to try—it just happens.

That’s what Bali does for me. Despite the tourists, the traffic, the noise, the chaos—it still vibrates. It’s in the air, in the land, in the way movement is part of daily life here.

I believe we all have places like this—places that make us feel whole, aligned, deeply ourselves.

What’s Your Sacred Space?

Not everyone’s “Bali” is halfway around the world. For some, it’s:

  • A room in your home filled with light, music, and quiet.

  • A park or hiking trail where your mind clears, and your breath deepens.

  • A community, a group of people, a creative space where your energy expands.

Where do you feel most alive? Most free? Most like yourself?

And if you don’t have a place like that—how can you create it?
